Parts for a WoF failure
Failed a Warrant of Fitness and need the part to pass the recheck? Most WoF failures come down to a handful of replaceable items, and we stock the common ones — new and used — with the fitment recorded against your vehicle so you replace it once.
We do not carry out WoF inspections. We supply the parts, and we will help you get the right one. The authority on what a vehicle must meet is NZTA and the inspector who checked your vehicle — go by your fail sheet, not by this page.
Lights
Lighting is one of the most common reasons a vehicle comes back with a fail sheet. A cracked or hazed headlight lens, water inside the housing, a blown or wrong-colour bulb, or a tail or brake light that has stopped working will all get looked at closely.
Mirrors
A missing, cracked, or loose mirror, or one that will no longer hold its adjustment, is a straightforward fix that is easy to overlook until the check.
Windscreen, glass and wipers
Chips and cracks in the driver's line of sight, worn or torn wiper blades that smear rather than clear, a wiper motor that has given up, or washers that will not spray are all inspected.
Brakes
Worn pads and discs, and the hardware around them, are a safety item rather than a cosmetic one. If the brakes were called out, get them done properly before the recheck.
Seat belts
Belts that are frayed, cut, faded through, slow to retract, or that will not latch cleanly are a fail, and they are not something to put off.
Body and structure
Sharp edges from accident damage, insecure panels, and rust in the wrong place can all be raised. Panels, bumpers and guards are core stock for us.
Get the right part the first time
Bring your fail sheet and your vehicle details. Search the catalogue by your registration plate, or send us the vehicle and the item through the parts inquiry form and we will confirm what fits. Where we confirm it in writing, our Fitment Guarantee applies.
Rechecks run to a deadline, so collection is often faster than delivery — see click and collect for pickup from Glendene, or delivery for courier timeframes.
